He is a Senior Scientist, ICAR-Indian Institute of Soil Science, Bhopal, India. He has been involved in soil microbiology research specially addressing the soil health, bioremediation and soil biodiversity issues. His research has led to advancements in the field of remediation of contaminated environments by using biological agents and amendments to restore the healthy state of the soil in sustainable way. His research is mostly focused on the soil microbiology and their role for soil enzymes in the soil biogeochemical process involved in nutrient cycling and soil health assessment. He also involved in the several active research projects in the area of soil biodiversity, soil biotic and abiotic stress, waste management, organic and natural farming. His research developed a microbial tool for the remediation of heavy metal contaminated soils, microbial consortium for the rapid decomposition of agricultural waste and in-situ crop residue management. He also received several awards and recognition for review/editorial member of the scientific Journal in the different areas of soil science and agriculture. His specialization areas includes Soil health, soil microbial diversity, soil biogeochemical process, bioremediation, biotic and abiotic stresses in soil, rhizosphere biology, endophytic microbes, mycorrhiza, and carbon sequestration.
