Dr. Franklin B.G. Tanee
Dr Franklin B.G. Tanee is currently a Senior Lecturer at the Department of Plant Science and Biotechnology, Faculty of Science, University of Port Harcourt, Nigeria. He holds a Ph.D degree in Plant Ecology. His research interests cut across several areas of pollution ecology such as ecotoxicology, pollution assessment, biomonitoring, bioremediation/phytoremediation, waste management, biodiversity conservation/restoration (mangrove) and horticulture. He has supervised several B.Sc, PGD, M.Sc and Ph.D research projects at the University of Port Harcourt. He has over 49 publications (38 research articles in both local and international Journals with 11 books/chapters in books) to his credit. He is currently a member of many professional bodies such as Botanical Society of Nigeria, Biotechnology Society of Nigeria, Nigeria Environmental Society, etc. He is currently a member, Board of trustee/ PRO of Ogoni Environmental Foundation.
