Dr. Khawaja Shafique Ahmad
He is working as an Assistant Professor and Deputy Director, Quality Enhancement Cell, University of Poonch Rawalakot, Pakistan. He remained as head of the department from 2016 to 2021. He joined University of Agriculture Faisalabad and University of Florida, USA for his doctoral work. He did PhD in 2015. Since then, his research group is working in the area of Plant Ecophysiology, and Phylogenetics. His research is specifically focused on to investigative the climate change impacts on vegetation dynamics and functioning. In particular, he is interested to see how different environmental stress i.e., climate change, metal toxicity and cold stresses bring plasticity in plant key functional traits by altering plant resource use strategies in changing environments. He has been working as an academic editor for Plosone since 2018. Moreover, he has been supervising students at M.Phil and Ph.D level. So far, he has won 7 research grants and published more than 65 research articles in impact factor journals and 10 books/book chapters with world leading publishers and participated in 35 periodically active national and international conferences, workshops, and seminars
