
She is a Scientist (Plant Pathology) at ICAR- Central Institute for Cotton Research (CICR), Regional station, Coimbatore. She was born in Dindigul, Tamil Nadu on 20th March, 1986. She Completed B.Sc. (Agriculture) at TNAU, Coimbatore, 2007; M.Sc. (Plant Pathology) at TNAU, Coimbatore, 2009; and Ph.D. at TNAU, Coimbatore, 2013. She worked as a Scientist (Plant Pathology) at ICAR-IIRR, Hyderabad from August 2015 to June 2017. She received Awards includes Dr. K. Balaraman award for the best student in Plant Protection Studies in 2010; Prof. K. Ramakrishnan award for the best student in Plant Pathology in 2010. She is a TNAU First rank holder in Post-graduation, 2010; IVS-Young scientist award sponsored by Indian Virological Society in 2014. She received Young scientist award sponsored by Society for Scientific Development in Agriculture & Technology in 2016; NESA award in 2020; Astha foundation award in 2020. She is a fellow of INSPIRE JUNIOR RESEARCH FELLOW (PROFESSIONAL) sponsored by Dept. of Science and Technology, Govt. of India, New Delhi, 2010. She has published 35 research papers ad 54 popular articles. She has authored five book chapters and presented nearly 28 research abstracts in international and nationals conferences with total publications of 128. She has been member of editorial board for plant disease research journal. She acted as reviewer for several reputed journals including Scientific reports, Indian Phytopathology, Plant Disease Research, Indian Journal of Plant Protection, Journal of Environmental biology, Journal of Plant Pathology, Agricultural Research Communication Centre (ARCC) journals and International Journal of Environment and Climate Change. Her research Interests include host plant resistance for fungal and viral pathogens, Molecular Plant virology, Interaction of plant viruses with the vector, Management of Rice and cotton diseases.
